Background & Achievements

Tengku Mohamad Hadif
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Hadif first sat at the piano at age 7 and made his concerto debut with the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO) at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in 2018. His accolades include Gold Medalist at the 1st E-Artium Piano Competition & Festival 2021 Malaysia, and further high placements in national and ASEAN-level competitions. He also participated in the Erasmus+ mobility programme in Estonia in 2023 and is currently completing his Master’s in Piano Performance at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam. Hadif has been appointed as a Kawai Malaysia Ambassador and Artist since 2022, contributing to our vision of nurturing Malaysia’s next generation of piano talent.

Yim Shanhui
Shanhui is an internationally awarded pianist and singer-songwriter whose early musical exposure came from a family background in music education. She achieved the ATCL and LTCL diplomas in piano performance from Trinity College London at ages 15 and 17 respectively, and has won gold awards in prestigious international competitions including the Beijing International Piano Competition and the 7th Hong Kong International Youth Performance Arts Festival. She has performed in renowned concert halls such as London’s Menuhin Hall and the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music. Shanhui became a Kawai Malaysia Ambassador and Artist in 2024, and has since collaborated with us to bring excellence in piano performance and outreach to life in Malaysia.
