Kawai is proud to announce that the CA99 digital piano has received a prestigious ‘Product Excellence’ award from Music Inc. magazine – one of the music industry’s leading trade publications.
Each year the magazine surveys musical instrument retailers across North America, inviting dealers to vote for products that have innovated and expanded the industry over the past twelve months. Winning manufacturers receive a prestigious ‘Product Excellence’ award from Music Inc. magazine, along with the satisfaction of being honoured as one of the musical instrument industry’s finest brands and products.

The CA99 digital piano utilises the latest Grand Feel III keyboard action, featuring long, fully wooden keys, graded counterweights and let-off simulation to authentically recreate the touch of the finest grand pianos. This keyboard action is paired with Kawai’s finest SK-EX Rendering sound engine which reproduces the sound of the flagship Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand piano using a combination of multi-channel sampling and resonance modelling, before being delivered using the unique TwinDrive soundboard and premium quality speaker drivers.
The CA99 supports both Bluetooth® MIDI and audio connectivity, and offers a variety of convenient features, easily accessible from the large LCD touchscreen display embedded within the instrument’s left cheekblock, or via the complementary PianoRemote app available for iOS and Android devices. Its compact cabinet occupies a depth of just 45 centimetres – far smaller than that of a conventional upright piano – and is available in a variety of attractive finishes to match both classic and modern interiors.

In addition to this this year’s ‘Product Excellence’ award for the CA99 digital piano, Kawai America Corporation also received another ‘Supplier Excellence’ award from the magazine, acknowledging the Kawai subsidiary’s commitment to dealer and customer satisfaction despite the various challenges throughout the year. These two awards are the 14th such accolade that Kawai has received from Music Inc. magazine since 2010, following previous awards for the Novus NV5 and NV10 hybrid pianos in 2020 and 2018 respectively, and multiple awards for the popular Concert Artist (CA) and CN series digital pianos.
